Introduction

I know there are plenty of choices for photo albums. I was looking for programs meeting those criteria.
  • One that can handle more than one language.
  • Program that uses MySQL database, not text file, for portability
  • Flexibility on design
  • One that lets users upload pictures easily
  • One that maintains directory structure and file names so that I can just download the pictures and burn on CD-R, for example

  • But I couldn't find any so I decided to program by myself. Although you can disable the multi-language feature and use it for just one language I mainly target the niche market of bilingual (multilingual) people.

    Features

  • Easily switchable between languages, English, Japanese, French, and Spanish.
  • Works with PHP's safe mode.
  • Stores all non-graphic data in MySQL.
  • Able to put titles and add descriptions on directories and pictures using unlimited number of languages.
  • Unregistered users can browse pictures without accepting cookies.
  • The directory structure is used to show pictures, however, you can name a title on each directory.
  • You can upload many pictures at once using FTP.
  • Your directory structure is kept so you can download it and use it on your computer like burning a CD.

  • Features you might see in the future versions

An Example of Web Site using Exporia

    • English
    • Japanese
    • French
    • Spanish
    • The Spanish and French pages use the data of the Enlish page so you can rarely see those languages but if you compare the English and the Japanese pages you can tell the power of Exporia. It's so easy to show one page in different languages like the page in English and in Japanese.

The origin of the name Exporia

I made up the word from the two Spanish words, exposicion (exposition) and galeria (gallery).
